So you saw a picture of me having an affair
So you saw me bribe a judge in my favor
So you saw a video of me making threats to other countries
So I passed a bill to get rid of your freedoms
So I made choices against all I said I stood for
So I made promises I had no intention of keeping
So I cheated and schemed to keep you all trapped in a broken system
So I'm not fit to run a country, let alone my own life
So what?
The rest fall swiftly towards the maw.

What are we?
Why are we here?
What is our purpose?
These questions are asked, yet never answered.
But, I believe that the path to truth is not seeking it, but merely allowing truth to find us. To simply open ourselves to the universe and allow all that exists to become one with us, to become a single entity, then all questions will be answered.

I actually feel a bit proud of this quick work, I based the poem around a quote I came up with (since I'm a quote nerd
) and I like how the style turned out

A lot of Aussies share the same sentiment over here. At the moment we have what's called a coalition government where the people are so pissed off with the major parties that neither of them can get the votes they require to govern, so independents have to agree to work with one of the major parties in order to govern. I notice you guys in the states permit independents but don't seem to vote for them so often. I think its a good way to reduce the power of the major parties. Do you know why they don't tend to in the states?
